On October 19, 2016, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) updated recommendations for hepatitis B and human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines:
- Hepatitis B: ACIP recommended that infants be immunized within 24 hours of birth and removed policy language allowing a delay in some circumstances, to increase
- HPV: ACIP recommended that adolescents under age 15 years need only two doses of HPV vaccine instead of three, to improve lagging completion rates, while still providing protection against the infection.
