We were so pleased to present such an inspiring film to increase awareness and advocacy for such a great crowd of local providers, policy-makers, and community members!

This workshop was presented by the Hawaii Immunization Coalition, a 501(c)3 non-profit agency, working to increase immunize rates across the every individual’s lifespan. The workshop was held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm at Kahala Consolidated Theaters.  This event was powered by Tugg. It is made possible through generous donations from the Hawaii Department of Health Comprehensive Cancer Control Program and the Honolulu County Committee on the Status of Women.

Spring 2014 Workshop!

Hawaii Immunization Registry – Demonstration and Updates

Our “Hawaii Immunization Registry-Demonstration and Updates” workshop was a lively and well-attended workshop!  Thanks to all of our friends, supporters, and stakeholders for joining for Lynn Bryan and Kit Uyeda to learn about our statewide registry!

At the workshop, attendees learned about the history, current status, and future plans of the Hawaii Immunization Registry (HIR), including live demonstrations of the HIR’s capabilities.  Mahalo Lynn and Kit for making time for us!

At the meeting, current 2014 HIC Members also voted to adopt the updated By-Laws and Articles of Incorporation.

Hawai‘i has the highest rate of liver cancer in the United States, and one of the leading causes of liver cancer is vaccine-preventable hepatitis B. “Viral Hepatitis: Combating the Silent Epidemic in Hawaii” was presented by the Co-Directors of Hep Free Hawaii, Heather Lusk (from the CHOW Project) and Thaddeus Pham (from the Department of Health).
